***8 May 2005 – Lyzzie the droid-girl, Andy and the doctor’s deal

“Bring her inside.”, NK-546 ordered.

TK-222 gulped and gently she took Lyzzie’s right arm and dragged her inside the main building of the Garrison.

“Come.. Lyzzie..”

She recognized her very well, and it gave her a sad feeling. She tried to suppress it, as an Imperial stormtrooper she was not supposed to have any feelings. They moved into the cellar and there TK-222 uncuffed the girl.

“Move into the cell.”, NK-546 pointed at the first entrance on the left, and Lyzzie moved towards the direction of his pointing finger.

Cadet Orirr followed her inside, as well as TK-222, to give the girl some food rations. TK-222 peered around the cell, a long time ago she had been here herself, as a prisoner. But now she was a guard herself, a stormtrooper. She stared at Lyzzie’s cybernetic arm and her glowing red eye. This wasn’t a human anymore, it was a robot and robots were inferior to humans. Lust like that cop. She gave the.. robot a last glance and moved out of the cell.. staring at the floor.

“Cadet Orirr, TK-222.. you are dismissed.”, NK-546 said to them.

The cadet saluted the trooper and TK-222 nodded at him. NK-546, without armor called ‘Teglo Ofee’ and a long time ago also gotten the nickname ‘cadet Carpet’ because he had had some funny beard. Cadet Carpet.. at this evening.. Jane had kissed Andy for the first time. She sighed while tapping in the usual code in the elevator after which it went up a floor. She hadn’t seen Andy for more than a week already..

After having changed into civilian clothes –her dress uniform hadn’t arrived yet- Jane walked towards the exit of the barracks. She nodded at a stormtrooper that just came in.

“I don’t trust that doctor.”, the trooper said to her.

“Roseward?”, Jane asked.

“Yes, Roseward. First this Globewalker girl had attacked her, but then the doctor defended the girl.. like she was protecting her. Making excuses of her.”

“That sounds odd.”, Jane reacted, kinda interested.

“I think she is a traitor. Give her the firing squad as far as I’m concerned.”, the trooper continued.

Jane nodded at him.

“Well have a nice day.”

She continued towards the exit and walked to the medcentre from the Garrison, pondering about Roseward. What had happened? She hadn’t been there.. so Lyzzie had attacked dr. Roseward.. and then dr. Roseward oddly had defended the girl even after what she had done to her? She remembered when, about 15 minutes ago, they had arrived in the main hall after having put Lyzzie in cell 01.

“I wish to know who the prisoner is and would like to examine him or her.”

“Get back to the medcentre, doctor!”

And with a sigh the small woman left, the tapping sound of her shoes echoing in the corridor.

Jane took a seat on one of the beds, nodding at the doctor.

“That droid sure was informative.”, the doctor said to her with a quiet voice, “I should have you locked up.”

Jane stared at her with big eyes, not knowing what to say in reply.

“Let’s take a walk, Doe.”

“Euh yes, doctor.”

She followed the woman outside and they walked towards the back of the small building, into the shadow that made the temperature a few degrees cooler, but still warm enough to sweat even if you were standing still.

“T.. thanks that you haven’t told command-“

“Jane Doe.. or shall I call you a by different name?”, she stopped Jane’s sentence, “Maybe it was better to inform them..” The doctor sighed. “Who are you?”

“Doctor what do you mean? I’m Jane Doe, I’m an Imperial trooper.”

“Let’s cut the crap really.. I think that you are impersonating a trooper!”

Impersonating? No doctor.. why should I? I am a trooper..”

“I have heard a lot from the droid, Doe.. or shall I call you Lanark.. or..“

She stared into Jane’s eyes.

The deal, the email..

“You.. you received my email.”, Jane stammered, “It seems that you want information in exchange now.. as the deal.”

“Something in return yes, Doe.”

“Y.. yes.. well yes I think for sure that I have had the identity of Sabine Lanark. But I.. I don’t remember myself.”, Jane said to her sincerely, and stared in the doctor’s eyes, “I lost my memories. They never came back.”

She sighed sadly, the doctor nodded at her.

“What did the droid.. what did it tell you?”, Jane continued, now feeling some hope to maybe even get more information about her own past.

“Doe, you are impersonating a trooper. I know a lot about your past.”, the doctor said to her.

“My past.. doctor tell me! Please.. I have no memories. The droid told me.. that I was a slave from the Garrison. I cannot remember-“

“Doe let’s continue this conversation another time.”

“Why-“ She turned around and saw three stormtroopers and a cadet staring at them and gulped.

They walked towards the troopers, Jane put up her most emotionless face as possible.

“You are to come with us, trooper.”, one of the troopers told Jane.
She nodded at him, not being able to say a word.

“Resist or you will be shot upon.”

Her hands sweated, without saying a word they walked into the main building.

The doctor kept complaining all the time while she made up a story to tell her superiors..

Inside corporal Haki Duke walked in front of her, shaking her head.

“What is this, Doe?”, she asked the private.

“Ma’am.. I.. euh well.. eur.. I.. have some psychological problems.. and it is kinda hard for me to talk about that, so the doctor took me outside to make it easier..”, she stammered.

The corporal nodded at her and then talked to the doctor.

“I’m trying to do my job but you keep harassing me all the time.. how can I do my job properly in this base..”, Roseward sighed.

A trooper pushed the doctor away, towards the elevator.

“Doe, you can go.. move to the medcentre for a check-up on the double.”, Duke ordered Jane.

“Yes ma’am.”, she said and accompanied by a trooper she walked back to the little building.

Inside the trooper removed his helmed and transformed to Jarome. She smiled at him, he sighed.

“Life is not like it used to be.”, he said, shaking his head seriously.

She stared at the floor. She was scared that even Jarome would suspect her of something now.

“Yup.”, she then said, playing casual.

“I mean.. command has changed. Ern, Deen and Lantrian left. And Andy..” Another sigh from the man.

Inside Jane felt relieved. They already seemed to have forgotten the incident that happened only a few minutes ago, well at least Jarome did.

“Yes.. I miss Andy.”, she sighed.

“It’s a hard life we live.”, Jarome continued, “People can’t really know us. It’s the sacrifice we make..”

“We do it for the Emperor.”, Jane said, “To express his will. Our lifes are.. for him.”

“Yes, we have to let go about Andy.. and resume our duties.”

She sighed.

“I’m gonna try to talk to our new commander, about him.”, she said with a soft, but resolute, voice.

“You better don’t.”

“Why not? Jarome he was our best friend, also yours.. he was my.. my boyfriend! Darnit I’m gonna ask him about Andy!”

Jarome nodded at her and at this same moment several troopers came in, accompanying dr. Roseward.

“Do the medical checkups, doctor.. Doe, you are to report to HK-157 when the doctor is done with you.”, one of the troopers ordered.

“Yes sir.”, she said and saw that the doctor looked even more nervous than herself.

She got some tablets for her headaches and then left the building to speak with corporal Duke. The corporal was sitting behind the big desk, a huge Imperial flag was draped on the wall behind it. She saluted the corporal.

“I’m sorry to have you caught up in all of this, trooper.”, the corporal said to her, “And next time.. you shouldn’t talk about your medical problems in public Doe. It is none of our business.”

“Yes ma’am.”, she nodded.

“The doctor is dangerous.”, the corporal continued.

“Dangerous?”

“She spreads filthy lies. You are not allowed to talk to her, except for medical purposes.. inside of the medbay.”

“Yes ma’am.”

“Dismissed.”

She saluted and left the building, back to the barracks.

She felt lonely as she sat down on her new bed in the private’s dormitory. As Andy was gone she had nobody to talk about the things that were haunting her mind more and more.. she had told Andy some details weeks ago, yes she could talk with him about these things. Tears came out of her eyes and crawled over her cheeks, she sighed. Why was Andy gone.. where was he. Would she dare to tell Jarome about it, to maybe get some advise on it? She didn’t know if she would.. he.. he had even turned in his own sister. He was a good friend of her, she didn’t want to risk their friendship.

Why was she trying to find out about her past, why was she taking this risk? She had been given a life from the Empire.. but that droid and the doctor really seemed to know things that were lost for herself.. and Lyzzie.. and..

What will happen to this droid-girl..

Oh my god Andy why have you left, why haven’t you send me any message yet..
