***7 November 2004 -Memories

Bespin, were Aaricia was raised, where she comes from..

Aaricia was caught slicing the computer network of a Tibanna gas mining installation from the Empire. She had done this from one of the data terminals in her university, through a leak via the Holonet. When she had connected to this network she turned off some vital safety measures and as a result half of the gas tanks exploded and a lot of gas was lost.
The Empire traced the signal and via university camera recordings they got Aaricia as the suspect. As she wasn't home (they couldn't trace her) they arrested her family and after questioning they found out that she and her sister were helping a local rebel cell. Aaricia never returned to her home so somehow she was aware of what happened and since then they never found her. But part of the members of the rebel cell were already caught -one of them had hidden Aaricia after the family was arrested and he had helped her get to Tatooine...

About half an hour after her attack via the Holonet Aaricia was buying some food at a local grocery, feeling anxious but telling herself 'it will be allright, I did it as safely as possible they will not trace me'. When she returned home she immediately recognized the white men from the corner of the street. Gasping she hid herself, while she watched how they dragged her family into their vehicle, kicking her father and slapping her sister. One moment it was like Janine saw Aaricia and she looked her little sister in the eyes. It was like her glance told her that everything would be ok, 'run Aaricia, never give up fighting our struggle for freedom because they've arrested us'.
And Aaricia ran to one of her rebel friends, feeling confused and guilty. What would they do to her family? Maybe it was better if she turned herself in, so that they would release her family. But Eric assured her that those evil bastards wouldn't do that, punishment for this would be severe also for the family. So it wouldn't matter if she turned herself in, only that she would be punished too.
So that was the reason she ran to Tatooine, as quickly as possible. With tears in her eyes she saw her city shrinking more and more, from the window of the old cargo vessel, where she could travel with in exchange for physical work.

******
Almost every day she dreams about that day, feeling sad but the memory of her sister's glance gives her hope. She will never give up fighting and someday she will rescue her family. Everything will be allright.. but already half a year passed and still she hasn't found any trace of her brother, sister or her parents. She heard about Dathomir prison and wonders if they are there but how will she know this?

What happened a few days ago brought the memory of that day, half a year ago, back very vividly; a few of her fellow rebel warriors got arrested and she was with them but not in the same room. Just like with her family they didn't get her, and from the other side of the room's wall she heard everything. It felt like a second chance, this time she really couldn't let them be dragged away.. she COULDN'T let this happen, not a second time! But this time she had a commlink in her pocket, and Xtyx, her Trandoshan friend, distracted the troopers as best as he could while she contacted one of the leaders of her company. "Comeone, have a drink with me!" She heard Xtyx saying, and another hiccup followed. Hiccuping Trandoshans sounded very weird.
"Move along now Doshan, or get shot!" One of the troopers barked.
She held the commlink close to her mouth and started mumbling into it, in their code language so that it sounded as if she was just chit-chatting..

With tears in her eyes she watched them being dragged to the desert, while one of the many people that were watching muttered with a shrug 'guess they will be executed there'. She had to refrain herself from pulling her pistol and attacking them.. they were with too many. Again she could only watch, powerless.

Luckily the other Daggerwolves arrived on time and they could save the three people.. this time Aaricia apparently wasn't all that helpless, this time people were saved from the evil Empire. But her family was still, after half a year..

Aaricia really fears that maybe.. they executed her family. Would they do that? Would they all be dead? Or maybe they were already released, although she thinks that this chance is very little regarding all the stories she heard from other rebels about what the Empire does with people and their families after resistance to their regime.. even of one member.

With her rebel uniform jacket flappering in the cold autumn wind she leans against a wall of one of the Azaki depot buildings, feeling lonely. A tear drops from her eye and crawls over her cheek, with a tissue she wipes it off.
